My new prescription eyeglasses is giving me a headache! Ouch!
Even if I only wear it for a few seconds my head starts to ache. I decided to get a new pair of prescription eyeglasses since I am nearsighted. I can only see well up close but have problems seeing objects farther away. I’m having some trouble in reading the words on signs and I can’t clearly see people from afar.
I went to the Optometrist and had an eye exam. My eye doctor told me that I do have a high eye grade so I need to wear an eyeglasses in order to correct my vision. I’m actually not getting used in wearing eyeglasses and this is my first time in wearing this kind of glasses so I think this is the reason why I’m having a terrible headache. My eyes are still adjusting since my eye muscles are getting used in relaxing. I guess after having to squint for such a long time and all of a sudden is a big adjustment.I spent the first few hours taking my glasses on and off to compare what I could see and this resulted in a nasty headache.
But the good thing about my eyeglasses is that I can clearly see the beauty of the world. I can even see those little tiny specs, dots or dust on the floor. Simple things like leaves on a tree and blades of grass looks amazing.
My Optometrist recommended only using my glasses for a few hours at a time for the first week to reduce these symptoms. If you are experiencing these symptoms too, I recommend only using your glasses when you need to until you are accustomed to them. In my case, I will only wear this glasses for distant viewing, not for work up close.
