Now that its summer time here in the Philippines, its the start of summer vacation where most of us enjoys many things like doing some outdoor activities such as swimming, sun bathing, beach and pool parties. Talking about swimming, which one do you prefer? at the beach or at the pool? In my case, I prefer to choose swimming at the pool specially night time.

For a simple reason that I don’t want to get tanned or dark LOL! I don’t want to get sun burned when I swim at the beach. I also don’t want my hair to get damaged again. My hairstylist advised me that since my hair got rebonded already, I should not let it soaked from seawater. Oh well, that’s my main reasons why I prefer to swim at the pool rather than at the beach.

Here’s our recent photo with my mom and my daughter. Can you see any resemblance on us? Well, they say that blood is thicker than water. It really is! My mom and I are so alike in so many ways. Our likes, dislikes, favorites, talents and even skills we are so the same.

Here comes our little girl who also possess the same personality like us. Its just amazing to see the three generations from grandmother, daughter and grand daughter. The good moral values that we instill to our family has always pass on from generation to generation.

Yes I’m still on vacation mode together with my family. My mom and her boyfriend is spending their holiday here in the Philippines. But its only six days until they get back to Switzerland that’s why we make the most of their holiday a special bonding time for us. We are still staying here at the apartment near the beach. My mom and her boyfriend loves to get tanned that’s why they love swimming at the beach.

It’s also a wonderful time for us to bond with them. We went to many different places with nice scenery as well specially those local tourist spots here in our place. We really enjoyed our trips, tours and photograph moments. Spending time with your family and loved ones is indeed a priceless moment that you will surely cherish forever!

Here’s our photo of our Budol Fight eating last week together with the leaders of our church. This is our first time to have this thrilling way of eating with family and friends and we enjoyed it so much! If you’re wondering what Budol Fight is, well it is a term used in eating using your bare hands and serving the food that is scattered on the table with banana leaves that usually serve as the plate. It is believed that eating with bare hands while standing beside the table together with friends or family will make this food trip even exciting.

This type of serving or eating can be done in any occasions or even without special occasions. Often, groups would decide eat together, after a short activity or just a simple food trip with friends. Budol Fight is a way of eating foods that promotes bonding and fun. Anybody in the group can get food anywhere as long as it is still on the table.

The preferred foods to serve are usually the ones that doesn’t have a soup such us fried or grilled chicken or pork, rice and many others. What makes budol fight it even more fun is that it is often served as if there is a limited time and one must eat in a hurry as the others might get the remaining food in the middle. Plus you are right in front of the others smiling and eating as if it is just playing.
