Christmas Party Decoration and Ideas

Two weeks from now our church will be celebrating our much awaited Thanksgiving and Christmas party. The congregation has already discussed about our program and activities as well as the designation of each member’s responsibility so we could all help each other for the success of our celebration. One of things that we need to organize is for our Christmas party decorations.

We had a chosen a simple party theme that will easily suggest the party invitations, party favors, and party games to utilize for the celebration. We discussed about the decorations for the entrance, inside and outside of the party space. We will start decorating the party area banners, sign boards, and centerpieces.

Of course a party can not do without the menu along with the table decoration. We opt to choose entertaining table decorations which will go along with our simple and traditional party theme. We are so thankful that we have a great cook who always try to make new and delicious recipes so I’m sure our guests would be fully satisfied on it. We know that a menu should also go along with the theme since it will create uniformity in the party celebration, and everything appears to be well-organized.

We had also prepared for our exchanging gifts as well us some fun and exciting games and surprises which I’m sure we would all enjoy just like what we did last Christmas. Certainly, there are a lot of distinct Christmas party decoration ideas that will surely bang our Christmas party.

Any Cheap Christmas Gift Ideas?

We will be celebrating our Church Thanksgiving and Christmas Party this coming December 19 and one of the highlight of our activities is we have an exchanging of gifts. We will draw and pick the names in advance so we can have an idea what to give as a gift on the certain person whom we picked with. I also thanked my mom for a having a kind and generous heart because she sent us money so we can buy gifts which will be given to all the members of our church. I was assigned for this things but I am quite confuse because I don’t have much idea what I’m going to buy as gifts for them. We have several family members here that includes babies, mother, father, kids, teenagers, adults, and elders. There’s quite a lot of them. I think I have to go around and visit all the stores here in our place. 
I have to list all their names so I can have some idea what to buy for them. I almost forgot that I am one of the godmother of our new born babies from our church. Whoa! I really need a long list here. I think the best gift for them would be those cutie little clothes and shoes. For moms, a beauty kit perhaps, For dads, a mug or hankies. For kiddos, toys would be great. Now for teens, an e-load for their mobile phone would be nice I think, lol! I still have no idea yet and so with the adults and elders. Any ideas or advice you could help me in buying for these gifts my friends? You’re help is highly appreciated. Thanks!

Balikbayan Boxes

My mom has been asking for some things that we want so she can put it all in a package using balikbayan boxes. The things that I want? Of course I want a designer bags, clothes, perfumes, make ups and other bling-blings! My daughter will surely love the yummy Swiss chocolates and chips. Oh! Did I mention I also love that too? hahaha! and for my hubby, a Swiss watch and perfume and for the rest of my relatives, well, I think my mom knows what they want and what’s the best pasalubong for them.

She is using Philair Logistics as the freight forwarder and when it arrives here in the Philippines, it is forwarded via Victorian Freight Express. Using sea freight, it usually arrives here in our place around 3 months. It takes a long time but its worthy since there is no missing items on the package. Unlike before when my mom used to send the balikbayan boxes through Post Office. Gosh! there were so many items missing and even chocolates and candies were eaten. I could testify how corrupt the people working at the Post Office and most of all, at the Bureau of Customs. We are thankful to Philair and Victorian Freight because they are not like that.

My mom is having her holiday again next year on February but I guess she’s gonna be the one who will arrive first before the package… hehehe! but its okay as long as we have something to wait for and we are excited for that! :)

A Special Gift Ideas for Mom

It was my mom’s birthday last month but sad to say I never got the chance to give her a gift since at that time, she already went back home in Switzerland. She usually spend her 1 month holiday here every year and this time, I am thinking ahead what to give as a Special Gift for Mom next year when she comes back for her holiday. I want something unique and memorable for her. I want to buy unique gifts from San Antonio perhaps because I can find some posters and some colorful pins and craft for my personalized homemade card I will be making soon.

I am planning to make a lovely poem for her where I can do some art and design that will look like a scrapbook where I can put our family photos and it would be a great idea if I can also let my daughter draw and write an “I Love You” message with a heart in it. Isn’t that a cute idea? I know my mother would surely love it since she treasured every little things that is given to her.

My mother likes to swim too and maybe she needs a waterproof video camera since last month when she had her holiday here, her camera fell on the water and it is a sea water that’s why the battery has been damaged. She actually just gave the camera to me since she cannot used it anymore. And since her camera was damaged, she used her touchscreen mobile phone and the same thing happened when it accidentally got wet on the seawater. The LCD was damaged and now she had let it repaired to the service center since it has still a warranty.

A waterproof digital camera is indeed a good choice for her since she loves capturing photos and recording videos at the beach. This will be my other special gift for her and I would like to make it as a surprise gift  when she comes back next year.
